T30WC: Because I said I would…

Because I said I would be a better wife, I promise to cook more this year so my husband can eat more homemade food.

T30WC Because I said I would readingruffolos

I started doing this in January when I bought a crock pot especially for this purpose. I’ve since then cooked dinners for him and we’ve enjoyed wonderful homecooked dishes over dinner every time he comes home from work.

Because I said I would become a better version of myself, I promise to take care of myself.

I’m not quite there yet but I’ve pushed myself to eat on time and get beauty products that I like, put on make up, and dress well. Will get to exercise soon.

Because I said I would reinvigorate my spiritual life, I promise to pray my novenas and pray the Holy Rosary again.

I am trying to do this. I’ve been unsuccessful so far. Please help me pray for change of heart and more dedication to be spiritually better.

Because I said I would support a great woman in a big fight of her life, I promise to call that psychologist and tell her my side of the story involving a case on violence against women and children. I promise to be stronger for the one person that really matter.

DONE ON FEBRUARY 17!

Because I said I would try my best to become a better mother, I promise to end screaming and be more patient to my children especially in the mornings when they get very demanding.

I’m happy to report that from February 8 to 15, I only screamed once out of frustration and exhaustion.

Because I said I would only invite positive energy in my life, I promise to be more grateful…

…and whine less. I recently thanked the Heavens for Dollar Store because they have great arts and crafts materials. I don’t have my brother, Hendrix, to help me with creative projects but somehow, Heavenly Father blessed me with Dollar Store. I am so grateful.

Because I said I would be kinder and nicer to people, I promise to call my Mom more often.

I called her just now but she didn’t pick up so I left a message with my brother and told her I miss her and can’t wait to visit her soon.

Because I said I would be kinder and nicer to people, I promise to try my very best not to prematurely  judge others or be envious about others. I will do my very best to  be kinder to people even those whom I don’t know.

A nasty person called me names online. I didn’t unfriend him. I asked him a question and turned his comment into a platform to initiate intellectually stimulating discussion. As of 2:09 a.m. of February 17, he hasn’t replied.

Because I said I would be kinder and nicer to people, I promise to forgive my father in the future.

When the wounds heal…

Because I said I would take this time to become an improved writer, I promise to write more stories that will inform, inspire, and involve more people.

As a result of that promise, I am halting The 30-minute Writing Challenge as a part of this blog to convert it into a special project that will hopefully encourage more people to write and to improve their craft.

T30WC: Ramblings from the Heart will be one of the projects I will be undertaking this year alongside Memoirs of a Probinsyana and Love Letters from China.

Thank you for more than a year of reading my ramblings, majority of which were written within 30 minutes. Daghang salamat!
