3 Reasons to Join Ayala Center Cebu’s KIDDO Club

I pride myself for living a suburban life in the outskirts of Liloan town, which is located an hour (or two/three depending on the traffic situation) from Cebu City. But on occasions when I do take my children to the ciudad (city), which now often falls on a weekend because they are regular school children, I make sure to take them to Ayala Center Cebu.

It’s a no brainer.

The mall has the Havaianas playground — traditional one, like the one in my childhood — where my children can climb, run, swing and slide. The place needs a little bit of upkeep though but noting that it is free and surrounded by green spaces, this mother is NOT complaining.

The other reason why I bring them to this “green” mall is because of the KIDDO Club.

Since it was launched last June 17 in a safari-themed festivity, Ayala Center Cebu’s KIDDO Club has captured my attention as a go-to loyalty program for children 12 years old and below.

Here are three reasons why I got SOLD to the program:

1. PJ Masks

Let me type that again: PJ Masks. Yes, I am a nerd/geek Mom but I do expose my children to cartoons. Since then, I have memorized the opening spiel of PJ Masks and have been a friend of Connor, Amaya and Greg, who transform into Catboy, Owlette and Gekko when night falls. Together, they fight the “bad guys” composed of Romeo, Luna Girl and Night Ninja. We attended the September 1 show with a special Meet-and-Greet opportunity that had me smiling from ear to ear in excitement for Nicholas, Antoinette and Jeffrey, who have since agreed that they are Catboy, Owlette and Gekko. For a loyalty program for children to bring these characters to Cebu, I was floored!

2. Varied, fun activities

There are no boring days at the KIDDO Club because every month or so, children can look forward to something new. The official launching of the club gave us a fabulous sneak preview of what is to come as we had mini-excavation activity and DIY safari arts and crafts last June. There was the Magical Unicorn Haven for the months of July and August. Crazy Curly Weekdays ran from July 16 to August 19 during mall hours where members got free unicorn balloon plus a loot bag for every purchase of a unicorn shake. On weekends of July and August, child members were treated to a variety of events including arts and crafts activities and a magical meetup consisting of fun games and music. We met the PJ Masks last September! Running until October 20 is the Super #AyalaKIDDO Weekends, a venue for children to “fly, zoom and swing!” There are super hero guests, not to mention that discounts and perks.

3. Perks, rewards, treats

You pay the membership fee of P500 per child and you are off to special privileges with the mall’s partner merchants. The KIDDO Club is no just a mall loyalty rewards system, it is also a skills-enhancing program for children. Did I mention the fun workshops? KIDDO Club members get special gifts and deals on their birthdays and that include discounts, gifts with purchase and other offerings from partner merchants. My favorite is the stamp rewards program. Members can collect KIDDO stamps by presenting a minimum single receipt of P1,000 from any partner merchant to receive prizes and gift certificates from select establishments.

There are more than 20 partner merchants in the list. Our top favorites are Butterbean (ice cream and cookies!!!), MyJoy (pork belly and iced tea shake!!!), Red Ribbon (cakes!!!), Sunburst (chicken!!!) and Pancake House (pancakes!!!). Discounts are available too at Rustan’s, Toys R Us and Broadway Gems, among others. Special privileges at Kids Paradise and other retail stores. For Kids Paradise, just do not forget to bring your KIDDO passport. It’s a treasure notebook of so many surprises!
