Hotel hopping

Why do pastry chefs make desserts look so beautiful and expect us to eat them?

Take this for example:

1

It’s tiramisu with all the fancy decorations.

As I repeatedly mentioned, we don’t have househelpers so anywhere we go here, the twins are with us. Last May 16 (a Friday), Jeff wanted to see Godzilla on Imax. I didn’t want to. I never liked the movies involving Godzilla but he insisted. But the taxi driver didn’t know (or pretended that he doesn’t know) the address to the cinema where Godzilla is playing. So we went to another cinema hoping that Godzilla is scaring people there. But…nope, it wasn’t. Spider-Man was the only English movie that was showing.

Tired and hungry, I told Jeff we need to eat and he suggested we just go to the nearby Marriott Hotel to have a late lunch/early dinner. The tiramisu was taken from the cafe of the said hotel.

Nick and Toni were with us. Our little girl was in this garb before we left the house:

Yup, the little fashionista, who is planning to leave for a business trip:

And she’s thinking. I know she is:

So anyway, we were at the hotel and the twins were seated on their high chairs – playing and “talking.” Here is Nicholas with his game face on:

And my pretty daughter:

5
Nick: “Hey Toni!”

6
Toni: “‘Nay, why can’t this giant just behave?”

7

They made friends with the waiter so I turned their seats:

9
Toni: “What’s in that corner?”
Nick: “So that’s how you do it…”

11
Nick: “Hey! They have more food on that table!”

12

13
Nick: “Yep, they have more food.”
Toni: “Confirmed!”

The following day, May 17, we had to check in at the China Hotel because there was a chamber event that Jeff had to attend. I wrote about it here. Here are the twins checking in at the executive floor:

On May  18, Sunday, we finally had our lunch back at the China hotel after Church. Here’s Jeff and Toni having a “fight”:

And let me end this entry with the big face of Nicholas.

One more!
