What makes a great story?
Well, of course it has to have a beginning, and middle and an ending. This is the same for a story written for adults or for children. Children are pretty smart. They can tell a good story from a bad one.
All you have to do is take a look at Dr. Seuss.
Every one of Dr. Seuss’ books has great characters. Anyone can understand what’s happening … be it the Grinch or Green Eggs and Ham. The stories are all captivating and with vibrant colors.
You know that something new will be around each page.
Adventure is something that children love to read about and that stimulates their imagination and their dreams of doing the same. These wonderful adventures reinforce to children the magic of exploration.
Challenging the minds of children is not a very difficult thing to do when imagination takes hold. It is only when the stimulation is removed – that is when imagination dies.
No child can imagine an adventure better than from a book.
Imagination is the key that unlocks the mind of a child. Once a child has been freed to explore their adventure their minds create, they will quicken inside almost as if a light bulb was turned on. It’s not difficult to continue that great imagination journey once a child feels empowered, is passionately encouraged and wants to read.
Combining a great story with terrific artwork in characters will spark the mind of any child and they will begin to dream dreams.
